Bad Year

A thought that became a memento with a good cause.

Founded in 2020, Bad Year was born out of philanthropy and humanitarianism. The organization set out to spread mental health awareness during the height of the pandemic. Satirically ripping the Goodyear logo and branding, they wanted to purposefully shed light on the fact that things aren't, good. The mission was to emphasize that denial leads to a dark space, but acceptance allows us to grow, learn, and maintain positive mental attitudes. Bad Year has already donated a generous amount of proceeds from their products to Mental Health America to aid in their research.

AD90 was asked to document the process of creating a sign that cemented the mentality of Bad Year. The Blimp is a memento that symbolizes the idea of reaching for new heights and staying above the chaos.
